Founders & leadershipWhy we built Woodford.
Woodford began with a simple question: what if a school in the heart of Vadodara could give children the calm, curious, play-rich childhood that Finland is known for, without compromising on strong academics?
From a preschool to a school, on one campus.
The story starts with Toddler's Block, our Finnish-inspired preschool in Vasna, where children learn through play and happiness really does become a habit.
As those children grew, the natural question was what comes next? Most good schools in Vadodara sit on the edge of the city, and few share the philosophy these children had thrived in.
So we built the next step ourselves. Woodford International School opened in September 2026 on the same green campus, recognised by the Government of Gujarat for Std 1–8. It is managed by Finn Education Trust (Reg. No. E-8931), and it will grow year by year towards Grade 10.
One campus, one philosophy, from a child's first day of preschool to the end of school.
